Meru National Park offers an authentic wilderness safari experience, a stunning landscape with 13 rivers, and a rich history as the setting for the film “Born Free.” The park is one of Kenya’s least crowded, providing a tranquil and exclusive feel. It is a true “Big Five” destination, home to a well-protected rhino sanctuary with both black and white rhinos. You can also spot unique northern Kenya species, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk.
Day 1: Nairobi to Meru National Park
We will start with a pickup in the hotel in the morning as we head to Meru National Park. You will be able to enjoy great views of Mt Kenya region, with its fertile, Green vegetation. You are set to arrive at your camp in time for lunch and Afternoon relaxation. After some time at rest embark on your first Safari Game drive at 4:30 pm allowing you to see the wonderful creatures that populate the park. Brilliant on a magnificent scale, the Meru and Kora sister parks feature luxuriant jungle, coursing rivers, verdant swamp. Visitors can see Grevy’s zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos and more recorded species of birds. Return to the camp by evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Game Drive in the Park
This is your full day with Nature. Enjoy your early morning breakfast and depart with packed lunch for a full day tour. Meru National Park is famous for its lions. The Park is especially associated with Elsa the Lioness and the film Born Free. The Park is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos in the wilderness. At last count, the fenced 83sq km Rhino Sanctuary was home to 34 black and 70 white rhinos. You will enjoy your packed lunch in the park. Continue with the game drives and later return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Depart Meru Park to Nairobi
Depart Meru National Park to Nairobi.
Enjoy your Breakfast as you check out in your camp and depart for Nairobi on our way. Have a stopover for a complimentary lunch at a local restaurant arriving late in the evening for drop off at your hotel/Airport. End of Tour.
